The importance of French
for Canadian students
French is an official language in Canada. Mastering this language gives a considerable advantage in the job market.
Unfortunately, there are few opportunities to practice French in Ontario. Thus, many students can greatly benefit from support courses in French.
My teaching approach for French
French is my mother tongue, and I have been educated in the French educational system from kindergarten to university. Hence, I have a perfect command of the language.
I am also bilingual in English, so I understand the difficulties of learning French for students whose mother tongue is not French.
My approach to teaching French is structured along the following axes:
Reinforcement of grammar and conjugation
Vocabulary development
Improved reading fluency
Using dictations exercises to test listening
comprehension and quality of writing
Development of oral communication
